Scope:

• Involves determination of manufacturability of products and improved effectiveness and cost of production processes through determinations regarding:


• Methods, equipment, layout, workflow, time standards, capacity utilization, process/equipment improvements, and process control systems.


• May involve application of knowledge and methods for understanding physical phenomena to achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products and processes.


• Materials research on glass, glass-ceramics and ceramics.


• Intended for job classifications that engage in research and/or product development in more than one engineering discipline within the Engineering/Manufacturing job family.


• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.


• Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline


• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)


• Travel requirements: 20-30% domestic and international

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Excel (excel proficient formulas, datasheets, linking, pivot tables would be a plus), Word, and PowerPoint


• Working knowledge of Geometric, Dimension, & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Preferred:

• Technical understanding of materials and manufacturing processes


• Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and Adobe Acrobat


• Some prior work experience in the field of engineering

• Location: USA - NY - Canton
