Associate Production Manager sought by Ahlstrom Nonwovens LLC in Windsor Locks, CT to lead continuous improvement and quality assurance of the production of high-performance materials. May travel to various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of materials engineering experience in: serving as the primary interface with Maintenance, Engineering, Product Design, Quality Control, Purchasing and other departments to ensure efficiency of machine operations; ensuring efficient and economical use of raw materials, systems, labor and equipment in the manufacturing of specialty products through planning and implementation of productivity improvement programs; developing and issuing product specifications; Capital project experience; implementing, facilitating and maintaining training programs; experience with ISO and FDA compliance; identifying process improvements and instituting improvement programs for established product lines; manufacturing strategic planning and policy making through participation in manufacturing staff activities, and; performing key performance indicators of productivity, waste, quality complaints, safety and environmental metrics.
