Job Duties: Design and build new tools and systems to allow us to be more productive and efficient, leveraging data science models and algorithms to bring solutions to market. Conduct cost/benefit analysis to make intelligent recommendations against business trade-offs. Run open-ended exploratory data analysis to identify new ideas and opportunities to enhance existing solutions. Proactively monitor models and systems to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve. Work closely and build productive relationships with merchandising, operations, data science, and engineering teams. Communicate key insights and recommendations to crossfunctional executive leaders across the organization. May supervise entry level analyst(s). Position is based in Boston, MA office; however, telecommuting may also be allowed. Salary: $97,968 to $183,361 (WFMA017)

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in a quantitative discipline, business intelligence analyst or related role.

Special Skill Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
1. Analytics or data science experience in the e-commerce industry;
2. SQL or a structured programming language for aggregate functions, query optimization, stored procedures, or string parsing;
3. Utilizing experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business decision making;
4. Python & Python tools (Jupyter notebooks, functions, pandas, sklearn, matplotlib or similar) to plot multidimensional data for at least one of the following: catalog merchandising, pricing, or marketing data;
5. Building automated data pipelines to trigger and monitor batch data transformation, data transfer, and model training jobs within a scheduling and orchestration engine
