Risk Operations Associate

JOB DUTIES: Assist with the creation and maintenance of internal policies, procedures and processes according to compliance best practices and operational objectives. Responsible for ensuring efficiency and robustness of the risk operation processes, including credit origination, portfolio management, disputes management, collections and recovery. Additionally serve as a liaison between clients and upper management identify and communicate key learnings and concerns if any.

Perform the following duties: Ensure the bank and financial statement connections of Parker Group’s customers are always active and manage communication and assistance to clients in case of disconnections; Work directly with internal and external stakeholders on documentation of processes, escalations, and risk updates across the organization; Follow up with delinquent customers to reduce delinquency for assigned accounts and record promise-to-pay, ensure pulling of payments on promised date; Facilitating payments from clients having payment issues; Interact with customers to resolve outstanding collection issues not related to credit; Work on alerts generated by the risk team for increase in risk for Parker Group’s clients; Handling disputes with the processor in case of fraud; Managing transaction limit approvals or bill pay approvals above a certain limit leveraging procedures set up by the risk team; Own a critical piece of the feedback loop to improve Parker Group’s customer user experience, including partnering with product and engineering to build best in class risk tooling to increase operational efficiency; Partner with data analysts to help develop KPIs and build monitoring dashboards.

Perform the above job duties using tools and technologies including, but not limited to: Jira/Linear; Front (Communication automation); Retool; SQL tools like Metabase/Tableau/Looker; MSt Excel and Google sheets; MS Word and Google Docs; Notion; Ocrulus; and KYB/KYC tools like Alloy. Salary range $91,000 - $95,000/year.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Finance (foreign U.S. equivalent degrees accepted) and one (1) year of experience in an Operations, Finance or Analyst role working with payment operations including experience: performing reporting across process enhancements using analytical SQL (e.g. Metabase); with process improvement and automation of key operational risk processes including document collection, initial client onboarding flow and ongoing customer management; working with Retool for payments collection, Ocrulus/plaid for bank statement collection, front/SFDC (communication automation tool) and linear/Jira for project management; identifying pre-emptive or early-warning measures of potential systemic risk management issues; participating in payment operations and navigating payment issues through organization; and, working with Fraud ops and disputes processing.
