Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Customer Engineer [Req. #H2730] in Hillsboro, OR, to: Perform startup activities through Tier II with limited support, and complete qualifications with minimal assistance. Complete quality repairs. Actively respond to fab issues by communicating with engineers in other locations and participating in escalation conference calls. May initiate or participate in projects to drive down costs or increase uptime. Verify operational quality of system equipment. Follow all checklists and procedures and ensure correct Revs of procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work. Move tool into the factory and set tool level to specification. Connect all tool facilities, calibrate polisher robots, calibrate cleaner robots, calibrate factory automation robots and calibrate all liquid flows. Run automated tests for qualification and hand over tool to customer. Travel to clients' sites required (domestic/international).

Requirements: Associate’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or an Engineering-related field and 4 years of experience in any occupation in which customer engineer or related experience was gained.

Salary Range: $119,330.00 - $139,330.00 per year
