Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GCP Data Lead to join our team. This role is a senior position, requiring 6 to 12 years of relevant experience. As a GCP Data Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing our data projects on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions, as well as ensuring data security and compliance. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in GCP, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of delivering successful data projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 7 to 10 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration techniques
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and data privacy
• Excellent leadership and project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Data Engineer) are preferred

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage our data projects on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Design, implement, and maintain data solutions on GCP, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analysis
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data requirements
• Develop and implement data governance and data management strategies
• Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of data solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in GCP and data engineering
