Work with customers, product teams and post-Sale teams to identify use cases and develop architectures and solutions using Databricks’s platform and guide customers through the implementation process. Detailed job duties include: Provide consulting to support successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks. Implement complex distributed processing systems and Big Data technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop and Kafka. Consult on architecture and design, and implement strategic customer Big Data projects such as ETL pipelines, Deep Learning, Machine Learning frameworks, AI prototypes and data mining. Build reference architectures and demo applications for customers using open-source projects such as Apache Spark, PySpark, MLflow, Koalas, or Delta Lake; Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues; Architect, implement, and validate integrations with 3rd party applications; Evangelize Spark and Databricks across developer community through meetups and conferences Primary technologies include Apache Spark, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Hadoop, Databricks, Python, Java, Scala, Kafka, Azure Public Cloud, SQL, R programming, machine learning, AI (artificial intelligence) and data warehouse design. $130,000 - $180,000 per year. Minimum Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Math, Data Science, Operations Research or related field and one year experience. Will accept Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in lieu of Master’s degree plus one year experience. Must have experience in the following areas: Programming experience with at least one of the following: Python, Scala, Java, SQL or R; Experience with at least one of the following: 1) Data Engineering technologies including at least one of the following: Spark, Hadoop or Kafka, 2) Data Warehousing including at least one of the following: LOTP, OLAP or DSS, or 3) Data Science and Machine Learning technologies including at least one of the following: Pandas, Scikit-learn, or HPO; Experience in building solutions with at least one of the following public cloud providers: AWS, Azure or GCP. May telecommute from any US location.
