Lead the user interface and user experience design of a wide range of data visualization product features, charts and data visualization components across Databricks. Detailed job duties include: Lead the design of Databricks’ self-service analytics solutions which focus on users who are not extremely technical and require intuitive UIs to help them build complex visualizations and dashboards; create not only the details of a graph, but also the UX craft to build a seamless and easy user experience for customers when they are creating a graph or visualization; Empower Databricks customers to quickly and easily build insightful and beautiful graphs and visualizations using their data; Develop ways for data visualizations to be shared easily across the enterprise; Gain a deep understanding of Databricks business objectives, users, market opportunities, and competition; Become well-versed on the Databricks product and its personas (Data scientists, data engineers, data analysts and administrators); Deliver designs for Databricks' product and contribute to the overall direction of the product; Work closely with Engineering, Product Management and other key leadership to drive critical initiatives through from ideation to completion; Actively seek & provide design feedback and collaboratively improve the design process. $$177,000 - $190,000 per year. Minimum job requirements: Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Media Arts & Technology, Computer Science, or related field and at least three years of experience. Will accept Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in lieu of Master’s degree plus three years of experience. Must have experience in the following areas: Experience in user interface and user experience design of data visualization products; Programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, R, or SQL. May telecommute from any US location.
