Position Overview: As the Food Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence in food safety and quality. Working closely with our Quality Assurance Director, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our quality assurance department, ensuring that every product leaving our facility meets our rigorous standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Quality Assurance Programs: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust quality assurance programs that ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality throughout our food production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

  • Food Safety Expertise: Serve as the resident expert on food safety, overseeing allergen control measures and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, such as FDA and USDA guidelines.

  • Team Mentorship: Mentor and empower our team to become proactive quality champions, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability throughout the organization.

  • Protocol Adherence: Monitor and maintain strict adherence to food safety and quality protocols, taking swift corrective action when necessary to address any deviations or non-compliance issues.

  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate external food safety audits and provide comprehensive support for new product development projects, ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards from inception to market launch.

  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the development of strategic goals and plans for the Quality Assurance Department, aligning departmental objectives with overall company goals.


Qualifications:



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in food safety and quality assurance principles.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner are highly desirable and will enhance your ability to manage and oversee quality assurance processes.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the food industry, with a comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
