Security governance analyst to develop and document a security compliance program to include analyzing results, creating remediation plans, drafting formal standards and documentation (both technical and administrative), analysis of other solutions and creating supplemental content. We are looking for a strong writer, thinker and planner who can leverage strong security knowledge to identify gaps and generate the guidance to address them.
The Department of Elections (ELECT) administrates elections and assists local government entities by providing security standards for elections offices to implement and report on annually. These standards are known as the Locality Election Security Standards (LESS). This contractor will work for the ELECT Privacy Officer, with full-time focus on the LESS program including program development, documentation, and implementation, while conducting a risk-focused review of locality reports and analysis of potential security solutions. This individual would be involved in multiple activities requiring a high degree of security expertise and technical agility to include assessing and reporting on LESS submissions from localities, remediation planning with localities in addition to considering, researching, and developing implementation plans for technology solutions that can rapidly secure potential vulnerabilities.
