Job Description:
The DBHDS Practice Management System Replacement Project is an initial step in fulfilling a key result within the DBHDS strategic plan, which aims to improve financials and operations for all facilities through the enhancement of critical processes which will enable reimbursements to increase across facilities. This position will be the project manager for the Practice Management System Replacement project, assisting in the procurement process with RFP development, performing necessary VITA procurement activities, preparing for evaluating proposals, and mitigating the risk of procurement activities slipping schedule during RFP and implementation steps. The candidate will coordinate extensively with DBHDS and partner stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and collect and analyze data. The candidate will be responsible for following the VITA and state requirements for soliciting RFPs. Require qualifications as required by VITA and experience working with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience working with DBHDS IT system replacement and/or practice management systems preferred. Experience with Avatar, other practice management or revenue cycle systems, data management and Health IT projects is highly desirable.
