IT Project Manager Financial Experience EPMO Location: US-NY-New York Email this job to a friend

Title: IT Project Manager Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities - Develop, Lead, Track and monitor project activities as per the project plan and timeline that includes decision making, risks, issues, deliverables, inter-dependencies, stage gates, schedule, resourcing, and costs.
- Report progress status and escalate any issue to the Program Manager and Project team in a timely manner.
- Schedule, prepare and manage project committees as part of the defined project governance.
- Draft project deliverables based on input from the Program Sponsor, EPMO Program Manager and PMO teams.
- Schedule workshops with key stakeholders, prepare workshop materials, lead workshops and draft minutes and communicate to stakeholder groups with an action plan.
- Obtain feedback from the key stakeholders on draft deliverables.
- Define and finalize deliverables based on key stakeholders' feedback.
- Discover and document business requirements.
- Familiarity with RFP process for evaluating / selecting 3rd party software providers.
- Oversee program financials management, tracking and reporting.
- Plan for and drive regular status and ad-hoc meetings between the numerous constituents of our cross functional teams. Develop and deliver content, keep track of notes and action items, and hold team member accountable to deliverables discussed in these meetings.
- Deep-dive existing and potential problem areas, develop and communicate corrective action and mitigation plans, and drive follow-through to successful resolution. Be hands-on when needed to help your team solve problems and get through crunch periods.
- Develop and conduct regular project and RAID log reviews with leaders, providing status updates and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop reasonable integrated project plans (Client and External teams) and drive teams to on-time and cost with quality completion. Identify stakeholder and other responsibilities and commitments up-front and hold them as accountable as you hold your core project team.
- Participate in testing and verification of technical solutions.
- Develop resource forecasts and plans, and processes to manage capacity and constraints.
- Other work as assigned.
Qualifications - Minimum of 10 years work experience in financial service industry with demonstrated experience in project management and large-scale transformation projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in technology leadership, architecture, design or development of enterprise applications and integrations
- Previous experience with Finance and Accounting systems preferred.
- Experienced in PDLC and SDLC Planning and Implementation
- Project Management Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile). Requires in-depth expertise in Project Management knowledge and competencies.
- Exceptional organization skills, prioritization, and time management skills
- Exceptional analytical skills and strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy and ability to exercise judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to interact with functional teams, stakeholders, and management.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Project, Enterprise Project Portfolio Management tools.
- Ability to build MS PowerPoint presentations with appropriate details for varying audiences.
- Experience complying with Project Management related SOX controls.
- Knowledge of tools such as Workfront and JIRA preferred.
- Previous work in a large-scale, highly matrixed business environment is a plus.
- A bachelors degree in business, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent
- One or more certifications from the Project Management Institute is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
