Job Title: Sr Java Cloud Engineer

Location: Hartford, CT (Onsite)

Duration: Long term

Job Description:

• 8+ years of experience in application software solution development
• Hands on experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS), SaaS, and open-source frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, such as, Java Web Services, JMS, JSP, XML, JSON, JDBC etc.
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP and Rest).
• Experience with writing and using APIs.
• Experience with containerization and experience in cloud infrastructure environments like Open Shift AWS.
• Experience working in the security domain a plus.
• Scripting language such as Python is helpful.
• Experience with Oracle ,snowflake, SQL Server relational database technologies. Knowledge of open-source database technologies is beneficial
• Experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, preferred tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Rally, SonarQube etc.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Formation is must
• Ability to write and review well-abstracted, reusable code for all backend components.
• Contribute to the code base and ensure code and processes adhere to clean code practices and industry best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile or SAFe development environment. Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
