The Sr. Quality Engineer will build a quality driven engineering culture that helps ship foreign currency trading products rapidly and with confidence. The ideal candidate will be highly technical and have worked on global systems that are important to millions of users. You are methodical, a self-starter and passionate about Quality which drives the growth and success of a product.
Primary Responsibilities.
Plan, develop and execute a test strategy across software teams supporting a highly available foreign currency trading platform.
Lead Quality efforts that align with product efforts, assess risk and ship features with a high-quality bar.
Define Quality metrics and implement a system of measuring test effectiveness, test efficiency and the overall quality of the Product.
Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable software delivery, reduce the need for regressions and ensure reliability of the software.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience.
Hands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, performance and stress testing, implementation and maintaining quality test automation of both client and server systems.
Experience in Java, Python, PHP, C/C++ or equivalent coding language.
Deep understanding of how trading platforms function and how they scale. This involves experience with micro-services and high throughput messaging/streaming technologies.
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Drive to learn new things and go above and beyond the call of duty.
Prior experience with regulated financial organization is a plus.
