Middleware Platform Engineer

Location: Buffalo, NY (Post COVID)

Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum of an Associate's degree and 4 years' systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years' systems analysis/application development experience

Knowledge of configuration, administration and maintenance tasks for Windows, Linux servers
Experience supporting middleware platforms like WebSphere, Tomcat, and/or other standalone Java based solutions
Knowledge of setup, configuration, administration, and maintenance tasks for HTTP Services (IIS, Client, Apache)
Knowledge of interfacing technologies and services such as Networking, Active Directory, Firewall, Network Load Balancers, SAN, DNS, ESB, MQ Series, DBs, etc.
Experience with system design for high availability multi-server multi-site environments
Strong troubleshooting abilities

Ideal Qualifications Preferred:

Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related program and 6 years' systems analysis/application development experience
Experience in engineering and supporting ELK Stack, Kafka, and Redis products
Experience deploying technologies in multiple environment tiers (development, test, certification, production, and DR) to support business partners and internal/external clients through all phases of the application development and deployment life cycle
Strong knowledge of Scripting/Automation using WMI, PowerShell, VBS, batch file, Korn, BASH,
Python, T-SQL, Ansible, etc.
Familiar with Agile concepts and working within an Agile team
