We are looking for experienced pipe welders with five or more years as an Oil & Gas, Commercial Nuclear, and/or Marine experience.

Pay varies depending on experience, up to $50 an hour and $120 a day per diem for days worked. This is an opportunity to work up to two years and make a real difference.

Requirements:

Must be able to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
Experienced welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel piping.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of commercial/naval experience

Required Skills:
1. Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the SMAW (Shielded metal arc) process
2. Ability to fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel pipe using the SMAW and GTAW processes
3. Ability to mirror weld using the SMAW and GTAW processes
4. Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch
5. Experience working in physically demanding environments (shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, staging, etc.).
6. Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry.
7. Ability to properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six inch scale.

Welding Qualifications:
1. All positions using the SMAW and GTAW processes
2. Thin wall sockets (Required for below 0.187 wall joints)

Prior to performing work all welders must successfully pass the above tests
MUST be able to read a ruler using inches and tenths.
Must be very familiar with using a grinder.
Experience in fabrication of various details and assemblies from drawings/Blueprints.
