Barclays Services Corp. seeks AVP, Application Developer, RFT Tech in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions).  

JOB DUTIES:

1. Responsible for software architecture design of enterprise-class distributed, micro-service & cloud-based application;

2. Translate high level requirement into defined work items to produce technical artifacts to support the Global Treasury business within Risk, Finance and Treasury in delivering its strategic objectives within the constraints of a regulatory environment. 

3. Design new software solutions using event driven Microservice and Enterprise Integration Patterns based architecture.

4. Contribute to model/design storming sessions, sprint demos, planning sessions and retrospectives; contribute to the definition of software development standards, patterns, and techniques.

5. Provide software development support in production and contribute to test environment setup and management, Big-data solution design and optimization, and drive the adoption of Lean and Agile techniques.

6. Work with the Team Leads, Product Owners and Project Managers to build the project backlog, ensure that requirements are sufficiently detailed to be assigned to developers;

7. Conduct software design and code evaluations in the contest of development;

8. Oversee performance bottlenecks and provide solutions to resolve.

9. Conduct reviews of test plans and test scripts;

10. May telecommute.
