Staff Accountant in Asheville NC / NORTH CAROLINA

The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant is to maintain and oversee the AP process. This person will manage the procurement process, vendor disbursements, month-end reconciliations and accruals. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented that can operate in a fast-paced environment and grow with the company. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all invoices have proper approval and corresponding back-up documentation
Analyze weekly AP reports to ensure bills are paid timely and accurately
Manage the companys procurement cards, ensuring all employee charges are coded properly and align with the companys policy
Manage the expense reimbursement process and approvals
Assist with month-end close, including preparing and posting general ledger entries when necessary
Manage general ledger account balances and perform monthly reconciliations
Perform data entry associated with accounts payable, this includes ensuring expenses and revenue are accurately coded
Manage vendor relationships, collect and verify ACH/W-9 information
Assist with year-end close, including the preparation of 1099s
Assist with year-end and ad hoc audits
Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of accounting experience
Knowledge with SAP Concur and Oracle NetSuite are a plus
Microsoft 365 experience with a strong understanding of Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
