Develop in vivo methodologies, perform data acquisition and analysis, and disseminate experimental findings to internal scientific teams. Develop in vivo murine models of disease. Perform heart bisections and collect tissue samples from the hearts, livers, kidneys, spleens, gastric muscles, and tibias of mice models. Execute transcardial perfusion procedures for tissue extraction and fix collected samples with paraformaldehyde (PFA) to preserve the quality of molecular analytes. Conduct in vivo dosing of experimental therapeutics to mouse models. Analyze experimental samples and document scientific findings using specialized biomedical research software such as Lab Chart software, Prism, and Sigma Stat. Manage the selective breeding, weaning, health assessments, and euthanasia of genetically modified mice. Track mice lines and make regular updates to the respective breeding and inventory databases. Micro-pipette, aliquot serums, and dilute sensitive solutions as needed to ensure efficient preparation of highly specialized experimental samples and treatments. Oversee and assess the quality of biosamples received from investigator sites for pre-clinical study. Present verbal and written reports of critical data points to cross-functional core teams, sub-teams, and key stakeholders.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Biotechnology, or related field. Two years of experience in the position offered or related occupation.

In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Must have any education or experience with the following:

- Mouse colony maintenance, weaning, genotyping.
- Transcardial perfusion.
- Tissue collection and dissection.
- Intraperitoneal dosing.
- Mouse scruffing and handling.
- Performing mouse euthanasia.
- Carrying out behavioral studies in mice.

Skills may be gained through academic coursework and concurrently while pursuing academic studies.

Salary: $87,085 - $101,300
