Job Description:

We are looking to add a qualified Service Manager with a minimum of 5 years of management experience in the Service department of a BMW or other German premium manufacturer dealership setting. The candidate will be responsible for managing the Service department and the candidate shall have automotive Service experience, customer experience, and the ability to excel in a high-volume, luxury brand dealership.

The mission of this position is to contribute to the success of Ottos Service Centre Ltd. by developing and improving Service operations, achieving budgets and targets for the Service department, and ensuring high Service market achievement (market penetration and customer retention) and loyalty through high quality of repairs and customer care.

General Responsibilities:
Provides excellent service to all customers;
Develops and implement a business plan to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction;
Responsible for ensuring that the Service Department is organized and operating at maximum efficiency without sacrificing the quality of work performed and overall customer satisfaction levels;
Organizes, directs and controls the activities of the Service team to achieve plans and budgets, ensuring optimum use of all material, financial and personnel resources;
Responsible for tracking, compiling, and analyzing specific performance data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to the Service Department operations for both internal use and for reporting to the manufacturer;
Responsible for pricing, promotion, and control of quality of goods and services provided by the Service Department in close co-operation with the parts department;
Works with General Manager and marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and strategies monthly and seasonally to ensure continued growth and attraction of new customers;
Responsible to ensure the execution of services and warranty repairs in accordance with the most recent Policies and Procedures as specified by the Manufacturer;
Maximum Service customer retention in AOR;
Design and introducing new initiatives to ensure customer loyalty;
Develop and introduce new processes to achieve Service objectives;
Develop of staff training and succession plans, motivating and guiding staff;
Plans and checks workshop equipment, organizational resources and tools;
Works with CFO, utilizing sales histories, retention figures, KPIs and historical data on parts and labour sales per vehicle/per visit/per year, to develop an annual sales objective for the department, and to identify new business opportunities;
Ensures continuous workshop utilization and monitors occupation of mechanic units and work bays, by using scheduling and capacity planning programs;
Prepares and submits daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual Service performance reports.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of automotive Service management experience in a BMW dealership (or another German premium manufacturer dealership)
Post-Secondary education with a university bachelors degree in an engineering, automotive or business field
Strong people management and leadership skills, be motivational, supportive, assertive and decisive
Knowledge and understanding of the overall functioning of the Service department and day-to-day operations of the Service department
BMW Service Software (SGATE) knowledge is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
