Family Produce is currently hiring for the position of order selector to be part of our warehouse team and assist with various tasks having to do with inventory, stocking, organizing, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Order Selector is responsible for selecting and packing customer orders on a pallet, and transporting them to their designated location in the warehouse. This is to be completed in a manner that satisfies company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Order Selector is responsible for the completion and organization of all orders they have selected.

The Order Selector will also make sure the warehouse is well stocked, organized, and clean. This position also involves taking physical count of inventory.

Order Selecting: The Order Selector will be responsible for making sure that all products on the order they are selecting are packed in order of heaviest first, to light and easily damaged at the top of the pallet. This is to ensure that no product or packaging is damaged during any time. Upon completion of the order, the selector will make sure all products are on the pallet, then finally they will wrap the order from the very top, to the bottom of the pallet to ensure that products do not move during transit.

Quality: The Order Selector will be responsible for making sure that all products including produce, beverages, and respective packaging are in good quality.

Safety, Sanitation, Security: The Order Selector will be responsible for working together with other warehouse associates in a manner that maximizes safety, cleanliness, and productivity throughout the entire warehouse, and at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

Ability to carry boxes 1lb-60lb frequently, 60lb-80lb occasionally, and 90lb-100lb rarely.
Must be able to work in dry, cold, and freezing temperatures.
Operate manual and/or electric stand-up pallet rider.
Operate mechanical forklift as needed
Detail oriented
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work with team of selectors and prioritize large orders.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred
Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 3 months handling and driving forklift
Minimum 6 months working in a warehouse
Ability to read and write Spanish Language preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.75, up to $17.75 per hour.
