Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.Escorts patients to dressing and exam rooms, provides verbal and/or written instructions, and directs and/or assists patients in positioning body parts to be imaged.Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during exam.
Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established policy and protocol.
Completes required QC for equipment and maintains ACR/ MQSA requirements.
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order and reports malfunctions to direct supervisor.Opens maintenance tickets with the appropriate vendor when necessary.
Performs any required administrative duties including scheduling, completing necessary forms, and maintenance and department supply ordering as required.
Retrieves radiologic orders and transcribes related data into the electronic medical record.
Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
Current ARRT RF(R).
ARRT (CT) required within 1 year of start date.
Current Wyoming License upon start date.
Able to pass and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
