Florida International University, in Miami, Florida is seeking a Systems Analyst II for the College of Arts, Sciences, & Education. Duties and responsibilities include: Day-to day consultation, training, instruction, troubleshooting and problem-solving services to computer users for hardware, software, network, related computer systems, and peripheral devices; Effective operation of all systems; Installing and configuring systems; Recommending hardware and software acquisitions and upgrades; and Assisting the Assistant Director in providing support for departmental users of Active Directory, SharePoint, and other resources. May supervise a temporary, IT Generalist.

Remote work/telecommuting is permitted.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years (24 mos) of experience working with networking equipment and both Windows and MAC operating systems as well as familiarity with LDAP/Active Directory, system or patch management solutions, advanced features in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, and familiarity with the University’s policy, procedures and regulations. Position also requires effective customer service skills, writing skills, and troubleshooting skills.
