SMV Recruiting is actively looking for Auto Technician for our client in Syracuse, NY. Our client is a well known dealership and they have been ranked one of the best places to work in CNY because of their culture. They are ideally looking for someone with 3+ years of mechanic experience, a NYS inspections license, ASE Certification and someone who can hit the ground running doing fluid changes, tire maintenance, brakes, alignments, enegine repair, transmission repair and more. Our clint prides themselves on their company culture and being a small and tenured team! Plus, you will be working in air conditioning this summer. The hours are 8-5pm M-F, and they have excellent benefits, PTO, 401K match and very compeitive pay for this market! FYI, this is a direct hire role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on brakes, mufflers, convertors, oil/fluid changes, tires and transmission replacement/rebuild
- Work on exhaust systems including manifolds, catilic convertors, mufflers and connecting pipes
- Repair stearing components including inner/outter ty rods
- Peform enegine maintenance including partical rebuilds, reseal, sensor replacement, tune ups and fluid changes
- Replace and repair supension inlcuding struts, control arms, shocks when needed
- Conduct NYS inspections (only with your license that is not required to have for the role)
- Perform electrical diagnostics on multiple parts of the car when necessary
- Work as a team and support the operations as necessary
Requirements:
- 3+ years of auto mechanic experience
- Must be able to do oil changes, tire maintenance and brake repair
- Valid drivers license & clean driving record is required
- NYS Inspection Certification is strongly perferred
- ASE Certification is strongly preferred
- Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be a strong team player
