Responsible for industrial painting activities of wind towers. Identify, prepare and apply paint to wind tower surfaces in accordance with customer specifications per the Performance Improvement Plan. Inspect, analyze and test surfaces of wind towers requiring paint to ensure integrity and quality of towers for major customer (GE) in the renewable energy sector. Perform an inspection of the suspect paint patch(es). Measure the RAL of the suspect paint patch(es) to determine whether the color is within tolerance of the specified RAL for the product applied. If the RAL of the suspect paint patch(es) is outside of the tolerance for the specified product, determine the likely cause(s) of variation in color. Perform any additional tests needed to confirm any findings from the inspection. Write a summary report, clearly identifying the suspect paint patch(es) including section ID, and state summary of findings and recommendations. GE will review the report with Gestamp to determine the course of action. Review report with customer (GE). Analyze surfaces to be painted. Verify the functionality of required equipment prior to its use. Calculate the amount of raw materials for paint. Dry surfaces painted and repair equipment. Perform transport of metallic structures using bridge-crane or forklift.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: None.
Experience: Two (2) years as an Industrial Painter or in a related manufacturing role;
Experience must include:
1. Analyzing and preparing (cleaning, blowing, sanding) surfaces for paint;
2. Verifying functionality of required paint equipment; and
3. Mixing, matching and applying paint to steel surfaces
