Exciting Vice Chair opening at premier medical research institution
Stony Brook, New York (USA). Sante Consulting has been engaged to identify a new Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology for the Department of Pathology at the Stony Brook Renaissance School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be a visionary, decisive leader driven to inspire a collaborative and inclusive environment for the departments continued excellence in clinical service, education and research.
Candidate experience and qualifications:
MD, DO (or foreign equivalent) in Anatomic Pathology
American Board of Pathology board certified in Anatomic Pathology
Strong communication and leadership skills with a drive for innovation
Proven diagnostic skills
Potential to serve as an outstanding educator of medical students, pathology residents and clinical fellows
Scholarly contributions in clinical/translational research
Experience in medical education
Fellowship training or demonstration of expertise in Surgical Pathology or sub-specialty areas including (but not limited to) gynecologic, breast, genitourinary, head & neck, pediatric, and bone and soft tissue are beneficial, but not required
Department of Pathology Chair responsibilities:
Provide oversight for the Divisions of Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology and Autopsy
Report directly to the Chair of Pathology
Support continued excellence in clinical service, education and research
