Bilingual Home Teacher

Do you love teaching children from birth to age 3? Do you want to help pregnant women find medical and nutritional services? Lakewood Economic Action Program is looking for a bilingual Home Teacher (English and Spanish) who will provide comprehensive child development and family support services to the families of infants and / or toddlers from birth to age 3 and to eligible pregnant women through weekly home visits and regularly scheduled socialization activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• High School diploma with Home Visitor or Infant / Toddler CDA, an Associates or higher degree


• Hourly salary is higher for candidates with Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education


• Valid Driver's license


• Authorized to work in the United States


• Minimum of 1 year experience in a licensed or registered birth to 5 year old child care setting or preschool


• Good organizational skills with sensitivity to details and confidentiality


• Ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish


• Ability to deal effectively with public and staff


• Ability to communicate and work with children and adults from diverse backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Salary: $13.40 to $15.33 /hour
