Infrastructure Engineer

We are a leading provider of electronic content management and exchange solutions and services, with one of the largest national archives of digital information in the cloud. We are seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to work as part of our Service Delivery team to:

• Support operations processes including 7*24 on call support


• Willingness to learn custom application layer


• Configure and manage application and infrastructure tools to meet application and security objectives


• Implement windows server and red hat linux operating system and tool configurations


• Create detailed design documentation


• Optimize deployment and operational activities with powershell scripting


• Support application teams with operating system and tool configuration changes


• Design network and firewall configurations to meet application and security objectives


• Configure and manage cisco ucs based solution with vmware virtualization


• Configure and manage vsphere 6.5/6.7


• Configure and manage vmware nsx configuration


• Configure and manage vmware vrealize suite configuration


• Configure and manage cisco san/lan/firepower configuration


• Configure and manage netapp storage configuration


• Review logs and alerts and address identified issues

Requirements:

• 5-10 years technical experience with major website type applications, operating system, virtualization technologies, Cisco networking, NetApp storage and infrastructure tools.


• 5+ years’ experience with major website type applications


• 5+ years’ experience working in Operations support


• 2+ years’ experience with Cisco UCS administration


• 2+ years’ experience with VMware administration


• 2+ years’ experience with NetApp storage administration


• 2+ years’ experience with Cisco networking, Cisco Firepower and/or Cisco ASA firewalls


• 5+ years’ experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows Server Systems.  Demonstrate knowledge of logging, auditing and secure configurations.


• Experience with scripting using at least PowerShell


• Experience with VMware NSX and/or Software-Defined Networking.


• Good knowledge of network time protocol (NTP), domain name service (DNS)


• Experience working as part of a project team.


• Experience with writing and producing design and process documentation.


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Experience interacting (directly) with customers, and in training and advising junior staff

Nice to Have:

• Technical BS degree and/or related certifications


• Experience with Tomcat


• Experience with Oauth


• Experience with Cisco Ironport email gateways.


• Experience with Syslog-NG


• Experience with Active Directory configuration/management


• Experience with process automation/public cloud configuration and automation
