Job Description:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with the development and engineering teams to understand the products and platform technical design and implement the infrastructure to enable software development & quality for the embedded software, platform software and portals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to start from scratch and apply your expertise in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and containerizations to drive automation of policies, procedures for continuous deployment, continuous integration and continuous testing. Our agile methodologies will influence our devops practices and automation and will require you to continuously review and refine (if required) the operational workflow and tooling to ensure desired alignment and outcome. As a DevOps engineer, you will also be required to configure the CI/CD pipeline to automatically generate metrics for development experience and delivery that can help the team continuously learn and improve.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, hands-on, dynamic and detail oriented individual with a strong technical background and can drive effective product deployments, environment monitoring, automation, build & release engineering.

REQUIREMENTS

· BS in CS or related discipline.

· 7+ years experience in DevOps -

· designing cloud infrastructure (network, servers, storage, messaging, management & monitoring and machine learning) to ensure high availability, scaling and security of Ontera suite of technical solutions.

· deploying software platforms and products on private clouds and/or Google Cloud and/or AWS.

· Automation of management and monitoring of infrastructure components, packaging and promotion of code from lower to higher environments.

· Build and release management of embedded software

Experience in building distributed, server-based infrastructure supporting a low latency, high traffic, high volume platform in a mission critical environment. Proven track record of DevOps (GCP and/or AWS and/or private cloud), large scale CI/CD automation, building tools, enabling software development and quality. Experience with Source Code Control tools (such as Git), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools (such as Git CI/CD, Circle CI and Jenkins), Build automation. Strong understanding of microservice architectures, principles and patterns Worked closely with development and other engineering teams building a combination of in-house, cloud-based, and SaaS based business applications. Strong in analytical problem solving and looking beyond what’s obvious. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Worked in a fast paced environment, deal with ambiguity. Hands-on experience

· With container clustering technologies such as Docker swarm and Kubernetes.

· In enterprise application architecture and development skills

· With build automation and packaging

· With Infrastructure/Platform-as-a-Service (IaaS/PaaS) using Google Compute Engines, AWS EC2, Google App Engine and/or AWS EBS.

· In Linux/Unix, CentOS/Redhat/Ubuntu administration

Familiarity with the following are a plus

· Languages/Scripting/Formats: Java, C, Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Various shell flavors ksh, csh, bash , Perl, JSON, YAML, XML

· Web/App Servers: Apache Tomcat or equivalent.

· Sample Utilities/Tools: Puppet, Chef

· MongoDB, Oracle, Cassandra and other data stores.

· API gateways

· Regulatory environments such as HIPPA, FDA
