Summary:

Clinician involved in the comprehensive treatment of referred individuals with the goal of restoring optimal function. For productivity, refer to policy and productivity agreement. Individual productivity is determined at time of orientation. Functions as part of the rehab team under the State Administrative Code per state



Essential Functions:

Provides quality treatment in compliance with physician’s orders under the direction of the registered occupational therapist.

Plans and implements individualized client programs under the direction of the registered occupational therapist.

Makes adaptive equipment in accordance with physician’s orders.

Has all documentation and billing co-signed by supervising registered occupational therapist.

Has working knowledge of the various funding sources and requirements to insure reimbursement.

Records accurately the daily charges for treatment and supplies.



Qualification:

Is able to meet a medium to heavy physical demand level with exertion of force up to 50-75 pounds occasionally and 20-50 pounds frequently.

Has the use of upper extremities for light repetitive, fine motor tasks.

Possesses adequate senses to safely and effectively treat patients and assist in emergency situations.



Education:

Graduate of an accredited COTA program



Licensure/Certification:

Per individual state requirements; NBCOT certification required
