Overview

Develop and execute test plans to exercise UEFI and BMC firmware and operating system support for next generation server computers.  Work closely with UEFI and BMC engineering teams to ensure we have a robust, compatible and secure product.  Candidate must have experience testing UEFI and/or BMC firmware and must have excellent communication and interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and evaluate UEFI support on a server computer


• Develop test plans and evaluate BMC support on a server computer


• Work with a bug tracking system to provide detailed information on how to recreate failures


• Work with engineering staff to diagnose and fix bugs and security issues

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience


• 3+ years experience in UEFI firmware or operating system testing (or)


• 3+ years experience in BMC firmware testing


• Familiarity with bug tracking systems


• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux


• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal


• Must work well both with a team and independently

Additional Skills

• Working knowledge of motherboard technologies such as PCIe, USB, UART, SPI, I2C


• Understanding of cryptographic technologies such as public-key cryptography


• Proficiency in Python
