Job Responsibilities
- Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
- Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
- Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
- Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
- Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Requirements:
- Valid Fitness for Duty Certificate from a physician
- Current Vaccination/Immunization documentation
- Active and unrestricted state or Federal license
- Board-certified by AANP/NCCPA in specialty
- Active and unrestricted DEA
- Active CPR, BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
- Experience w/ Native American population preferred

Locums, Inc. is seeking Nurse Practitioners / Physicians Assistants for Outpatient Services at a government facility in Chinle, Arizona that is seeking long-term coverage. All state and Federal licenses accepted at all government facilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Outpatient Clinic includes providing diagnosis, treatment, medication prescription, immunizations, and injury care. Providers will be involved in a mix of in-patient and telemedicine
- 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday w/ periodic overtime
- 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. No Weekends or Holidays
- Period of performance: 1/1/21 to 12/31/21
- Estimated 2 patients/hour
- Malpractice Insurance provided
- Travel, lodging, and per diem provided for non-local providers
- Located minutes from the Canyon De Chelly National Monument. Perfect position for those who enjoy hiking, biking and the great outdoors
