Position Summary:

The Senior Systems Engineer (SCE) provides expertise and technical guidance on the implementation, migration, and support for company’s Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, which includes O365, Azure, AWS, and private cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provides implementation, and high-level troubleshooting for infrastructure, including Windows Server (2019, 2016, 2012 R2, 2012) and virtualization environments on both Hyper-V and vSphere, in addition to Citrix XenApp and/or XenDesktop


• Provides implementation, and high-level troubleshooting for public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, including Azure, AWS, and Office 365


• Must be highly proficient with Microsoft hybrid cloud technologies including Azure, AD/Azure AD, ADFS, O365, OneDrive, MS Teams and Sharepoint


• Provide Tier 3 support for customers and technical staff


• Work with vendors in the process of troubleshooting escalated incidents

Required Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, VMWare, Azure, and AWS Cloud Technologies


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft server, Microsoft Active Directory


• Strong working knowledge of MS Hyper-V, VMware, and Citrix XenApp


• Working knowledge of LAN and WAN topologies and architecture


• Working knowledge of Server and PC operating systems - such as Windows Server 2016 and 2019, Windows 10


• Manage Microsoft domain environments; including AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO’s, DFS, ADFS, LAPS, and MBAM


• Working knowledge of PowerShell and automating workloads


• Working knowledge of monitoring and tuning systems to achieve optimum performance levels


• Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, security best practices, and threat protection


• Strong documentation and oral communication skills


• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment


• On-call availability


• Sitting for extended periods of time


• Ability to work in confined spaces, operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand/power tools, and climbing of ladders


• Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals


• Some travel is required
