Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning, direction, implementation, and evaluation of Nursing Services for the Behavioral Health facility.


• Develops operational and capital budgets; develops long and short term goals and policies and procedures for the department.


• Oversees administrative functions and staff.


• Is a resource person to nursing staff.


• Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral.


• Coordinates the performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management or Nursing (Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing preferred


• Current RN license to the current standards of the state


• CPR & BLS Certification


• Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in patient care services.


• Minimum of 5 years experience in the behavioral healthcare setting and 2-3 years of leadership experience.
