Head of Strategy and Innovation

We are currently looking for a Head of Strategy and Innovation at our Long Beach, CA location. The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

● Develop and Execute the company's innovation strategy
● Develop a clear innovation vision and ensure it aligns with the company's overall strategy
● Licensing the company's technology to other companies
● Scouting for and acquiring new technologies
● Developing intellectual property strategies
● Identify and assess emerging technologies and trends
● Develop and launch new products and services
● Create a culture of innovation within the company
● Lead the company's strategic planning process
● Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for growth
● Develop and manage strategic initiatives
● Measure the results of strategic planning efforts
● Manage the company's innovation portfolio
● Prioritize and allocate resources to innovation projects
● Track the progress of innovation projects and report results to senior management
● Manage the risks associated with innovation projects
● Partner with other departments to drive innovation
● Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovation strategies
● Collaborate with marketing and sales to launch new products and services
● Partner with engineering to develop new technologies
● Communicate the company's innovation strategy
● Articulate the company's innovation strategy to employees, investors, and customers
● Promote cultural innovation within the company
● Share the company's innovation successes with the world.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

● Associate degree in Business or related field (foreign equivalent or experience combination accepted).
● 36 months of experience in Business Development, Operations, or a related role.
● Experience in:
○ Successfully building innovation and launching products or services in new developing markets in a start-up environment
○ Launching media and tech-based businesses and business models across diverse markets across the globe - primarily across Asia/Pacific rim
○ Successfully building and executing commercial models, including leading business development teams to build revenue pipelines
○ Understanding of customer markets and sales funnels, including customer acquisition and retention across both B2B and B2C markets
○ Leading a diverse team
○ Leading media production teams across lifestyle brands, including building teams to acquire video-based UGC and creating high-budget lifestyle content for Fortune 500 brands.
