We have been actively involved in the search for concepts in cancer prevention and the promotion of integrative cancer treatment programs for cancer patients and individuals with the most challenging illnesses. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our financial operations and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish different accounts
Maintain records of financial transactions by posting and verifying
Responsible for accounts payables and receivables
Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of account
Maintain a balanced general ledger and reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts
Calculation and payment of GST and assist with tax preparation
Perform payroll administration
Update and maintain journals and ledgers and perform bank reconciliations
Track cash flow and create forecasts to ensure enough funds are available for daily operations.
Manage inventory accounts, including record purchases and maintain the database
Process and document returns as required by following established procedures.
Perform miscellaneous accounting job-related duties, including preparing a trial balance for the accountant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred
At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software is required
Deep understanding of accounting principles
Expertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet is required
Maintain high accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Keep financial records and documentation well-organized and accessible
Attention to detail and confidentiality
Comfortable dealing with huge volumes of complex data
Well-developed problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with strong analytical abilities, numbers
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize
Ability to work flexible hours with some weekends and evenings
