Job Title: Assistant Consultant, Climate Change

Location: 425 Market Street, San Francisco, California 94105

Salary: $89,252.80 and standard benefits

Duties:

Develop entity-wide inventories and product life cycle assessment for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources. Gather data, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and report writing. Conduct verifications of entity-wide inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources. Develop and maintain data management systems and business intelligence tools. Support the design of sustainability or climate risk management performance targets and accompanying strategies and achievement plans. Identify and evaluate opportunities to achieve energy, GHG, and resource reductions. Analyze energy efficiency and renewable energy purchase options. Conduct climate- and water-related risk and opportunity assessments. Research and support sustainability programs and initiatives. Support the development of reports, presentations or other deliverables. Support business development activities with existing and prospective clients.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related plus 2 months experience as an Environmental Consultant, Environmental Engineer, Life Cycle Assessment Analyst, or related role. *Internship experience accepted. Experience must include: conducting life cycle assessment on electronics in autonomous electric vehicles by using the software OpenLCA, and analyzing the energy consumption and greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions from the cradle-to-grave; and initiating CO2e emission level reduction plan and conducting research to identify and prioritize cost-effective options for facilitating sustainable implementation.
