Job Description:
The Health and Safety Analyst 1 will identify hazardous workplace conditions and conduct preliminary sampling and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances. The analyst will implement measures to remove hazards or protect employees through procedural revisions, training, and the mandatory use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment. The role includes ensuring compliance with federal and state occupational safety and health standards and maintaining all necessary records. Participation in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and subsequent procedures is required. Responsibilities also involve investigating injuries and fatalities and preparing detailed reports. The candidate will conduct training courses on safe work procedures. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Special Requirements:

The employee will work in a production environment and must undergo basic orientation, confined space training, fall protection training, and respiratory fit testing/training.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety, Physical Science, Life Science, or Engineering is required.
The ability to interpret and enforce legal standards in the maritime and construction industries is essential.
The candidate should be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
