Medical Coding & Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a Medical Coding & Compliance Specialist to ensure accurate review and coding of clinical information using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with regulations and securing proper reimbursement. Collaborating with healthcare providers, you will help resolve discrepancies and ensure coding accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medical records to assign diagnostic and procedural codes.


• Apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on coding guidelines.


• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and payer policies.


• Collaborate with providers to clarify diagnoses and improve documentation.


• Optimize reimbursement through accurate coding and participation in audits.


• Stay current on coding standards, regulations, and payer requirements.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of medical coding experience, preferably in a healthcare or billing environment.


• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential.


• Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.


• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and HIPAA.

Compensation:

• Salary: $25-28/hr, based on experience.


• Location: Remote, near Oklahoma City.
