SMV Recruiting is looking for a CNC Machinist to add to the team for our manufacturing client in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of operating CNC equipment including 3-axis vertical and horizontal Matsurra Machines, Haas, Bridgeport machines, perform set ups and utilize tools such as caliper, micrometers and gauages, etc. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits, competitive pay and an excellent company culture!
Responsibilities:
- Utilize the CNC machines including 3-axis vertical and horizontal Matsurra Machines, Haas, Bridgeport machine
- Complete on average 1-5 set ups per day by reading blueprints/drawings and performing calculations
- Use manual CNC programming to make precise cuts and make edits
- Change out tooling including chucks and jaws as needed
- Perform inspections on the products and ensure the correct spec and tolerances
- Keep machines running accurately, adjust the machines as needed
Requirements:
5-10+ years CNC Milling experience is highly preferred
Experience working with Matsurra, Haas and Bridgeport machines is highly perferred
Ability to use precision measuring devices/tools is required
Must be mechanically and mathematically inclined
Ability to read blueprints/drawings as needed
