Manager, Software Engineering, Synchrony Bank, Charlotte, NC.

Ensure software solutions are built in accordance with company standards and are compliant with business requirements. Review and evaluate the performance of the development teams, collectively and individually. Responsible for project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and quality. Serve as the primary interface with IT and business partners on software development projects. Liaison between product, architecture, and development team members. Work directly with product owners to ensure stories contain the right balance of technical direction, best practices, and level of details. Coordinate projects with Engineering and Operations team to reduce impact on application development teams, including build-out of new development environments. Instill strong focus and best practices for the creation and maintenance of high-quality deliverables. Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other development teams.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience.

Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:

• Managing multiple complex software development projects;
• Articulating a company’s business requirements and objectives, translating those into software development solutions;
• Understanding Agile software development lifecycle;
• Software application development;
• Reliability Engineering and performance enhancement of complex software systems; and
• Communicating software development issues and recommendations to senior level management within and outside of IT.

Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
