Job Description
Florida Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer/Maintenance Tech.
Sign on Bonus
Hourly Pay with OT when necessary with Commissions
This is a chance to work your self up to a service technician. With all the knowledge of an installer and getting into maintenance to have the chance to learn more. Your duties will be split and there will be times you do one or the other for extended times.
HVAC Maintenance Technician Tasks
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring on HVAC equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment.
Job Summary For Lead Installer:
It is the responsibility of the Installer to install HVAC systems and any other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner.

Job Duties:
-Work safely following company policies
-Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s
specifications
-Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling
equipment
-Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units,
including soldering and brazing
-Install sheet metal, duct board and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings
-Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment
-Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for
install
-Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed
for each job
-Provide assistance as directed by management
-Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job
-Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
-Any other assigned duties as directed by management
-Provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC
systems including installations and modifications to existing
systems as well as assists in new installation of systems if
needed
-Properly prepare records and reports describing procedures,
actions taken, and recommended solutions
-Keep appointments and documentation for company vehicle
maintenance
-Maintain a clean and organized job site
-Keep close records of truck stock use and replenishment
-Maintain respectful relationship with wholesalers, office
staff/service management, Property Management companies,
fellow employees and customers
-Promptly attend all training classes and morning meetings
-Provide accurate and timely reports of time cards
Job Requirements
-Preferably 5 years’ experience installing
-Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
-Must be able to properly use company provided tablet
-Must be able to pass background check and drug test
-Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
-Honest and dependable
-Mechanically inclined
-Able to distinguish between different HVAC equipment
-Self-Motivated but able to take direction and be part of a team
-Professional Company Image
Physical Requirements:
-Able to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
-Able to tolerate temperatures above 100 degrees for extended periods of time
-Able to work overtime, nights and weekend hours when
scheduled
-Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or
crawl
-Able to easily get in and out of company vehicle and
comfortably sit for extensive periods of travel time
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
