Exciting opportunity to work with our Video Conferencing client headquartered in Irvine! If you have 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources and are looking to move up in your career this may be the position for you. Due to rapid expansion, the COO can no longer handle the day to day duties of HR. They are looking to bring on a mid-level HR Generalist who is interested in building and managing an HR team of their own under the general supervision of the COO/CEO. You will be fundamental in laying the groundwork for the HR team and instrumental in hiring those working on your team.



Job Description:



The HR Generalist will provide support to the HR department and its' various functions including employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, corporate office administration, training, and development. We are seeking someone that aligns with our client's company culture and values being a part of an innovative and progressive organization.



Core Responsibilities:




  • Support the implementation of HR strategies, programs, and initiatives to enable the achievement of short and long-term business objectives.

  • Responsible for full payroll functions ensuring timely and accurate weekly processing using ADP Workforce Now

  • Handle benefits administration to include assisting employees with the completion of enrollment in benefit plans, accessing services/benefits as well as administering annual open enrollment and employee benefit education programs.

  • Source, screen and recruit for new openings and develop/revise job descriptions t o be posted on the job boards

  • Maintain and file electronic and paper personnel records, update Human Resources Information systems (HRIS) and other HR records.

  • Process new hires and terminations while maintaining confidentiality of employee records

  • Coordinate employee on-boarding, orientation and provides appropriate training programs

  • Review performance on a regular basis using metrics such as productivity, turnover etc.

  • Coordinate with risk management personnel to administer workers' compensation benefits and claims review process. Work with an insurance broker to ensure company policies are cost-effective and appropriate

  • Assist with investigating employee relations and help conduct exit interviews

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed



 



Qualifications:




  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources

  • Experience using an HRIS system like ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment (i.e., discrimination and harassment, wage and hours, etc.)

  • Intermediate skills working with MS Office and able to learn new programs quickly

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
