Schedule:
- The initial schedule will be 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
- However, the schedule will adjust to 7am to 3pm once the shipper is trained, but we can negotiate that based on the shipper’s needs and plant needs.
Scope;
The purpose of this position is:
- Receives and stores finished goods from manufacturing and OEM suppliers; packages and ships finished goods to domestic and worldwide customers; may receive, handle, and process returned shipments from customers; and performs inventory control activities including cycle counts and physical counts.
This position includes significant duties such as:
- Picks, packs, and ships domestic & international orders, to include preparation of documents for forwarders/carriers.
- Monitors and “closes” shipments daily using ERP or carrier interface system.
- Receives and processes returned shipments and materials.
- Prints and matches batch specific data sheets.
- Processes international orders by following company/department procedures.
- Performs cycle counts of finished goods; investigates and resolves discrepancies and issues reports as required.
- Monitors and maintains optimal finished goods inventory.
- Processes “Reserve” orders or sales stock moves within inventory stock.
- Monitors and helps to maintain appropriate levels of shipping supplies to include boxes, packing materials, dry ice, etc.
Working Conditions:
- Good working conditions.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves objects between 25 and 60 pounds. Occasionally lifts and/or moves over 60 pounds. Some exposure to cold temperatures due to refrigerator and freezer storage areas.
- Exposure to chemicals and dry ice.
This is a contract position.

- Education/ Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, 3 - 12 months related experience and/or training in shipping and receiving functions required.
