Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Manage and support Symantec Antivirus Environment

Ensure latest patches and upgrades on Antivirus Environment

Perform configuration changes on the Antivirus Environment

Perform cleanup for Malware outbreaks

Provide new Malware binaries to Client's anti-virus Software vendor for inclusion in future pattern file releases;

Handle requests to scan for Malware on demand

Work with the Antivirus vendor for any malware investigations

Identity and resolve any non-functional Antivirus endpoints

Enhance configuration to suite Vertex needs

Troubleshoot and resolve user or application business impact caused by SEP client misconfiguration, incompatibility or SEP client bug

Manage and support Checkpoint Firewalls environment

Perform firewall rule changes

Coordinate / Raise change controls as needed to ensure Firewall rule changes

Ensure backup and recovery of firewalls

Provide firewall rule reviews as requested by

Troubleshoot connectivity issues caused by misconfiguration or other operation of Checkpoint platform.

Provide troubleshooting support to other infrastructure teams on infrastructure incidents
