SMV Recruiting is looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to add to the team for our manufacturing client in Fulton, NY. The ideal candidates will have 10+ years of operating CNC Horizonital Lathe equipment, ability to turn lathes, perform manual CNC programming and comprehend blueprints. Responsibilities:
- Utilize 1-4 Horizontal Mori Seki CNC Lathe machines at a time to machine quality parts that are 30+ lbs
- Perform 1-3 set ups per day by reading blueprints
- Use manual CNC programming to make precise cuts and make edits
- Turn lathes and change out chuck and jaws on the machines when needed
- Perform inspections on the products using the measuring devices
- Keep machines running accurately, adjust the machines as needed
- Read and write process instructions, work orders, quality documents and other paperwork
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years CNC Horizontal Lathe machining experience is required
- Ability to turn lathes is required
- Must be able to lift and move 30+ lb products
- Must be mathematically and mechanically inclined
- Must be able to write and read instructions, work orders and other documents
