Human Resource Manager supervising two direct reports with a multilocation privately held organization. There are 200 to 225 employees. This role reports to the VP/CFO.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business. SHRM certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of seven years of HR experience including supervising others.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hands on work style willing to work cross functionally within the organization as needed.

  • Knowledge of employment law, regulations and statues.

  • Experience with safety and training.

  • High energy, proactive work style.



Responsibilities of the Human Resource Manager:
Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Manage 2 Direct Reports HR Generalist and HR Recruiter
Provide support and counseling to employees regarding job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution.
Mange Self-Insured Health program.
Conduct annual benefits open enrollment and other benefits related programs as needed.
Monitor wage and hour rules, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Manage payroll processing and system
Schedule and conduct new hire orientation, including meeting arrangements, compilation of new hire paperwork, new hire benefit enrollment, and overview of timekeeping and payroll systems.
Input new employee information into payroll and timekeeping systems to create employee records.
Manage and Mentor existing HR Direct Reports
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications of the Human Resource Manager:
Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration or a related field; certification in Human Resources preferred.
7+ years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in manufacturing, production, or a related industry. Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, regulations, and statutes, safety, and training.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication
Demonstrated strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRM systems.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure; ability to prioritize and organize effectively; ability to show judgment and initiative.
Demonstrated ability confidentiality, professionalism, and decorum.
Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and work under pressure in a face-paced environment.
