Manufacturing Manager (Mold Design Engineer) - Cleveland, OH - JOB 440-24-00821

Salary Range: $90K - $120K Permanent Position with Benefits.

The Molding Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the process for the molding department consisting of injection, transfer, and compression molding. This includes the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, tooling, raw materials, process controls, tooling care, and continuous improvement. The key responsibility of this position is to identify opportunities for improvement, reduce waste, mitigate risk, provide robust mold processing parameters, and drive plant goals and objectives. This position will establish standardization for equipment, tooling, and raw materials to move the organization away from tribal knowledge and establish standardized processes and practices.

REQUIREMENTS
• Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Five plus years of Engineering experience in the rubber or plastic industry with proven track record and increased responsibility.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of molding equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO9001.
• Run and coordinate PPAP, First Article Inspection (FAI) and trial runs. Establish work instructions to release new jobs into manufacturing, including Job Sequent Time Studies (JSTS).
• Determine the root cause of Internal and external CAR's and implement solutions to eliminate repeat issues.
• Knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks and the ability to read blueprints.
• Direct and coordinate functional area tasks.
• Create visibility to Team performance and Timeline accomplishments.
• Motivate, coach, and maintain accountability with Team Members.
