Position Overview:

Kum Young ENG America LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager for our Technical Construction 1 Department. This role is critical for overseeing the installation of ducts and interior panels in the construction of an advanced cleanroom for EV battery plants. The Deputy General Manager will manage multiple subcontractors and a large team of construction personnel, ensuring the project meets stringent quality and safety standards.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Management:
o Oversee the installation of ducts and interior panels, ensuring all work is carried out
according to project specifications.
o Manage and coordinate the activities of three subcontractors, each responsible for
different aspects of the construction.
o Supervise approximately 150-180 construction personnel across the subcontractor teams,
ensuring efficient and effective work performance.
2. Interference Resolution:
o Identify and resolve any interference issues that arise between different construction
processes on-site.
o Ensure that all construction activities are coordinated to minimize disruption and
delays.
3. Coordination with General Contractor:
o Liaise with Hyundai Engineering, the general contractor, to incorporate their requests
and requirements into the construction plans.
o Facilitate detailed discussions and adjustments with all involved parties to ensure
smooth project progression.
4. Documentation and Planning:
o Review drawings and plans submitted by subcontractors, ensuring they meet project
standards and specifications.
o Prepare and manage all relevant construction documents, coordinating the sequence of
work and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
5. Quality Control:
o Inspect the work performed by subcontractors to ensure it adheres to the drawings and
project requirements.
o Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly, requesting
modifications where necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
o Ensure that all installations meet the stringent requirements of the EV battery plant's
advanced cleanroom standards.
6. Reporting and Compliance:
o Provide regular progress reports to the General Manager, highlighting key milestones,
potential issues, and solutions.
o Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations, project timelines, and budget
constraints.

Job Requirements:

• Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction management, specifically in cleanroom
and dry room environments, or similar high-standard industrial projects. Significant
experience in supervising large teams and managing subcontractors is essential.
• Technical Skills:
Extensive knowledge of duct and panel installation processes, as well as advanced
cleanroom and dry room construction standards. Proficiency in reviewing technical
drawings and construction plans. Practical experience in managing air handling units and
dehumidifiers is required.
• Leadership Abilities:
Proven ability to lead and manage large teams effectively, with strong problem-solving
skills to resolve on-site construction issues. Demonstrated capability in coordinating
and communicating with subcontractors and general contractors.
• Quality Control:
Demonstrated experience in enforcing quality standards in construction projects, with an
eye for detail to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills required to liaise with
subcontractors, general contractors, and internal stakeholders. Experience in preparing
and managing construction documents is necessary.
• Certifications:
Relevant on-the-job experience and prior roles in deputy general management positions in
construction are considered equivalent to formal certifications.
• Physical Requirements:
Ability to work on-site in a construction environment, which may involve physical
activity such as walking, standing, and inspecting construction areas.

The total amount of annual compensation: $126,000

Salary: $72,000

Fringe benefits: $72,000 for housing, medical insurance, dental insurance, paid
vacation, and vehicle
