Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Identity Management Administrator (IMA) to join our IT Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting end-user access and maintaining the confidentiality of information and systems, with a primary focus on the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Epic security provisioning, including templates, sub-templates, security classes, user roles, menus, activities, and profiles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and security of our health information systems, working closely with various departments to manage access requests and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities


      Handle requests and inquiries related to system and application access for associates, non-associates, student interns, and other clients.


Manage access for various systems including Epic, Pyxis, Tap-N-Go, Patient Safe, PACS, Meditech, Active Directory, and others.

Implement and maintain security policies and procedures for identity and access management.

Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure appropriate access levels are granted based on job roles and responsibilities.

Monitor and audit system access to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues in a timely manner.

Participate in projects related to identity management and access control improvements.

Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in identity and access management.

 

Required Experience/Skills


      Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in information systems access and provisioning administration in healthcare or a related field.


Strong knowledge of industry standards related to provisioning and access management.

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

Understanding of healthcare information system needs and workflows.

Knowledge of government regulations and industry standards for information security, including HIPAA and PCI-DSS.

Familiarity with Epic security provisioning and its components.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-Haves


      Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP) certification.


Epic certification or extensive experience with Epic systems.

Experience with other healthcare-specific applications (e.g., Pyxis, PACS, Meditech).

Background in information security, application system administration, or information system audits.

Knowledge of identity and access management best practices in a large enterprise environment.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
